Try to keep communicating with them daily if you can. Just always keep in mind that your family supports you and will always be where you left them.

You should have good friends. Once you're with your friends trust me you won't feel homesick.
I was staying in hostel/boarding.
When I joined, the first two months were nightmare for me, I was really homesick, I thought I should runaway from here. As time passed I got good friends, we had awesome fun.

Or if you don't get good friends, you'll have internet.
You can use Skype to talk to your family regularly.
If you are willing to join SF Webmasters.

My advice is to not stress about it too much. If you're interested in working abroad go for it. You'll learn to adapt to your new surroundings. Homesickness is totally normal, but will pass quickly, I assure you. Don't let that stop you.

I advise you to keep little contact to them.

You might be like, "how in the world does that help me?"

Well, the little contact you have, the less you'll get homesick. I've been down that road before.
