Hate to bump an old thread.
The Meteor hitting Russia last night reminded me of this and felt it might be worth sparking the old thread back to life.
It appears NASA and the likes completely missed this object?
Perhaps too busy looking at DA14? im not sure.
Either way it does show that objects of a reasonable size can and do hit earth without NASA and the likes knowing.
Just thankful it was not a little bigger and thankfully it did not kill anyone.
Must admit it was an exciting view to watch it burn up in the atmosphere.
I would have loved to get a chunk of that rock. Would be worth a fortune i imagine.
