No, everywhere I've read have all said that time span, I trust internet sources more than the media.

Internet is the media lol, you can't trust either 100%...

Most of the astroid reports are mostly news hype. They make more money saying there is a chance it hits earth then saying there is a 0.1% chance it hits earth. We are safe!Tongue

For all the research it's worth, you couldn't have picked worse than wikipedia, I could have written that out for all you know since it's freely editable by the public lol Smile

Yeah, this probably has as much truth as any other crap the "world-end" people spout out.

IM not saying this is fact or not guys.
Just i come across it and wanted to share with you all.
I have also tried to dig up more information about this.

My thoughts are this though.
Lets just assume its going to hit next year for the sake of arguement.
60 metres is not a huge asteroid. Certainly not an Earth killer type of one.
More than likely it would burn up during entry into our atmosphere and be smaller than that size or even broken into smaller pieces.
As stated in an earlier reply it will be coming at a huge speed though.
Loss of life would be certainly possible but i dont think on any large scale.
Its just to small an asteroid.

Did anyone get a chance to see the meteor shower last night?
Was seen across several countries in fact. Caused quite a stir.
Some say it could be the beginning of something bigger??
