Hello

A large percentage of the Bigger Communities do run vB.
http://www.big-boards.com/statistics/

Dunno man. If i was selling my work i would not limit myself.
When i was with mybb the vast majority could not or would not spend.
I remember people having a huge sook to pay $5 to become a member who can use Omnis mods.
$5 and they complained.
I guess free is free. Why pay for mods when the software is free? dunno just my thoughts.

I never doubted that, I know lots of big forums run Vbulletin, and I'm not sure why that's there preference but Vbulletin and Xenforo is what I notice a lot.

And who complained? Lots of the members that visit that forum are kids from HF that don't always have money to spend from their Paypal account like most webmasters do or people with a steady job and not going to school for an education.

That's one of the reasons why you see everyone that creates a forum go over to MyBB as well from here. But personally having the experience in both, along with lots of PHPBB back in the day, I would probably still have to go with MyBB. Vbulletin is nice for security, but the rest of it is almost junk. Not as flexible as MyBB.

Xenforo though, now that, is a nice forum system. I actually quite enjoy it, and if I was to go with something else, I think that would be my second pick.
