Vista Codec Package 5.9.1
#4
Even though the member is banned, I would recommend the k-lite codec pack, it contains everything you'll ever need for a video/audio codec, and it's fast. I've had DivX pro packs before and they are terribly slow in comparison to this free pack. Also, if you have any codecs in combination with DivX you're just going to have problems anyway. If that's the case you might not even be able to play videos at all until you remove any extra codecs aside from it. I've had k-lite for a long time, and others, but k-lite is still the best as far as i'm concerned. Xvid is a good codec though, and the compression ratio for it when I compile movie/video files is also fairly good.

Edit: just noticed this was my 4000th post
