#1
First If this is in the wrong place please move it.

Now, I was looking throw my processes on Windows Task Manager and i found some processes that where just random letters like "igfxsrvc.exe" and "igfxpers.exe", can these be Viruses?

Here is all the "random" Processes i found: "igfxsrvc.exe", "igfxpers.exe", "igfxext.exe", "IAAnotif.exe", "hkcmd.exe", "dwm.exe", "csrss.exe", and "CFSwMgr.exe".

I'm not sure on alot of those, but most are safe, and it usually depends on the location.

I know dwm.exe and csrss.exe are not virus programs running in your processes. hkcmd.exe, igfxpers.exe, and igfxsrvc.exe are all intel related. igfxsrvc.exe is the process info for the intel common user interface.

None of those are viruses. But it's a good thing you didn't try to remove them in any shape or form without asking us Smile At least now we know you have an Intel processor. And If I was a virus creator Smile I would not give it a dumb name like that lol. I would try to make it look like the name of an important system file. But i'm not, because this is SupportForums.

legitimate isn't used in the right context here lol. It doesn't mean what your using it as, all by itself. However you've shown a good site to look for specific processes in tskmgr.exe.

I showed her that they were related to her intel processor. (Assuming this is a girl)

Update: your name with the brackets messes up the bbcode, so ignore the pid, for the direction to your quote added when I replied. (pid='139456' dateline='1289976385') is showing.
