You can risk messing it up. It also void warranty. Make sure you restore it before taking to Apple for any help.

Both my Apple devices are Jailbroken, haven't had any issues regarding this for the four months I've had both of them.

I heard if you jailbreak an iPhone, you are unable to turn it off and it messes with the signal...

Well I used the multitasking of cydia before Apple released their multitasking and it ate my battery so fast that now it's screwed. I get 4 hours max >.<
