Suggest me an OS for 2nd hdd
#1
Hello everyone,

I recently got a second 1tb sata 2 hdd.

I was thinking about what should i do now....what should i do with 2tb now... still no idea but Tongue

I wanna make this 2nd hdd extra secure for my private files and everyday use ( so no hacking, warez etc )

I was thinking on i should install a different OS on that hdd ( a rare one, maybe less virus will infect it ) all hackers mainly make viruses for windows OS, correct me if i am wrong.

My second idea was, if both of the hdd is connected to pc constantly then if i would got ratted the hacker could see my other hdd also, how should i solvethis problem? buy 2 mobile rack? or any better idea?

Which OS would u suggest?

thanks for ur help in advance Smile

Well no,
Linux Mint, Linux Redhat, Backtrack, etc are Linux Distros.

To be honest now that I think about it Linux Backtrack is used for hacking WEP's,etc so it might seem useful to you as well i'm not sure what you want this particular OS for specifically.

But if you're looking for something close to Windows so you can make a happy transfer to Linux (If you are a Windows User) Linux Mint is Mint.

I have Ubuntu on my 2nd partion, I love it. Except there really is no point in having another OS. IMO its annoying switching OS back and forth... But hey you can give it a shot.
