Not exactly.
When meditating, you try to focus yourself on thinking about nothing, or just breathing. Something very simple, that wont really get yourself tired.

Also, meditation isn't just about relaxing one's self.

If you fell asleep during meditation all the time you passed doing is was for nothing. No effect whatsoever.

i fell asleep while doingit but it was weird, like i knew i was asleep but i could still hear

I've never tried that to be honest, although if I'm in a down-ish mood I'll throw on some tunes, genres depending on the mood.
