Hey so recently i made a site (www.genuinegames.org) and the traffic is almost 0 so i ask you what can i do to improve my site/forum and get more people visiting it ! Pirate

Once on a forum ( thats why there is a uploading page (its for minecraft maps )) but other then that no the people only stayed for like 5 mins then left and forgot about it

The most major thing I noticed was the homepage background, it hurts your eyes.

Change that a little bit and it will look pretty good.

As for increasing your activity, read up on some search engine optimization (SEO) tutorials, they'll help. Confusedmile:

The issue isn't the background, but the fact nothing is under the text + over the background..

There are many factors by which you get traffic on site.

Few are :-

1). Uniqueness of your content.
2). Ease to use
3). Less use of flash
and many more.

If you have some money, then go to microworkers and get some members.
After you have members, they google will give you some PR and people will come to your site.

SEO means search engine optimization there is no tuts for that bro.

You must google the topic and you will learn methods to make your site SE friendly.

WTF. You need to begin by learning HTML!
Then PHP. Then SEO IMHO. Really this site is.... well awful IMHO.

Seriously read and learn from there. Its a good place to start mate. Most if not all of us at some time have gone there.
And learn basic meta tags. I know they dont mean much. But a title means loads!
Here is sort of how i would start a web page.
