How to Troubleshoot Google Chrome Crashes
#1
There are various reasons because of which Google Chrome browser may crash. Here are a few solutions you may try out to solve the issue.

Google Chrome may crash due to a conflict with some software installed on your computer. The software may be network-related software, a video-conferencing client that interfaces with Google Chrome or yes, a malware as well.

Here’s what you need to do to know about the software which is responsible for the crash:

1. Type chrome://conflicts into the Chrome address bar
2. Press Enter.

You will get a list of software causing crashes to Google Chrome. Some typical ones are Safe Eyes Parental Control Software, ContentWatch, Microsoft Office XP Input Method Editor, Naomi Web Filter, Trusteer Rapport, Hide My IP, Venturi Firewall, and PPLive.

3. If you have any of these applications installed try to update it. You can also try to disable or uninstall it to fix the problem.

Following applications require specific steps to be performed to fix crash issues with Google Chrome:
Internet Download Manager

Update to IDM v6 03 beta from www.internetdownloadmanager.com or disable the 'Advanced browser integration' option within IDM.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus

Upgrade to NOD32 version 2.7 to fix the issue.

Have iS3 anti-spyware (STOPzilla)

Disable the iS3 anti-spyware or update to the latest version to see if it resolves your issue.

NVIDIA Network Access Manager

Disable NVIDIA Network Access Manager to install the issue.

WinMount

Try updating to the newest version of WinMount from their website.

A malware can also crash Google Chrome. So it’s best to scan your PC with a licensed and up-to-date security software.

In some cases, Flash plugin also causes crashes. If you are facing regular Shockwave Flash crashes, you may disable the internal Flash plugin and use standard Flash plugin in Chrome.

Corrupt profile also crashes Google Chrome. You can test it by creating new profile in Chrome’s settings page. To do so, open the settings page of Chrome and click on ‘Add new user’ button in the ‘Users’ section then change to the new profile.

System files may also cause Chrome crash, so to fix it Google recommends running SFC.EXE/SCANNOW program to fix the protected system files of your Windows system.

1. Type cmd in your Start menu,
2. Right-click on it >> Select Run as administrator
3. Type SFC.EXE/SCANNOW
4. Press Enter

Windows will scan your PC and fix the problems with system files.
