Many missing files - Hijackthis log

Hello. I just bought an hp pavilion dv6. Right now, it is really slow. It even freezes up when I am surfing online. So, I decided use hijackthis to see what the problem was. When I scan it using hijackthis, I copied the log into a free hijackthis analyzer and it indicated that I have many missing files which is harmful to my computer. When I fix check it, hijackthis said they are unable to fix and and recommended me to download lspfix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm to solve it. So i downloaded it and it turns out nothing was wrong when I ran the program. So, I ran sypbot and symantics to try and clear it up, but it didn't find anything wrong either.
