How do you copy real data to virtual hdd?

I am using windows xp on a windows 7 host via virtual box and I was wondering if there is a way to copy data from a real hard drive onto the virtual one. I want to access data stored on my computer from the virtual machine.
I searched around and I was unable to locate some real finite instruction. |
