Car cassette issue.
#1
I recently purchased a used(1 owner) 1997 Nissan Maxima. I listen to a lot of music, and I'd like to listen to music while I drive also, but burning cd's is such a hassle, and the car doesn't come with an auxiliary jack. I went out and for 20 or so bucks I got a cassette adapter so I can just use my ipod.

Here is where the problem lies, The car thinks there is a tape already in there. The screen reads tape err, and you can hear it scrolling inside. When you try to insert the cassette it's blocks off by the piece that go into place if there is a tape inside already.

Can anyone help me fix this problem?

I found the same problem here: http://www.techimo.com/forum/imo-communi...oblem.html
It's exactly what is happening to me, except I actually need to use the tape deck, There is no answer on that thread.
