Device Has Malfunctioned.
#1
I bought a new computer recently, and I haven't been able to use a Wireless adaptor with removable storage. Whenever I plug a USB storage device in, it doesn't load and says 'This device has malfunctioned'.

If my Wireless adaptor isn't plugged in, then any USB storage device works fine, as normal.

I have tried multiple Wireless adaptors, with the correct drivers, and it still doesn't fix the problem.

I am using Windows 7 32-bit.

Thanks in advance.

1]Go to control pannel
2]Go to System and Security
3]Go to Device Manager
4]Click Universal Serial Bus Controllers
5]Right click the USB
6]Click Uninstall
then Reboot computer while pendrive is inserted in USB
Then connect to the internet.
---------------------------------------------------------
When you connect to the internet if the said USB is empty
(i.e. no device is inserted in it) they install the device
eventhough the device is not present, causing the said error

Got this off google, said it worked for someone else.

Thanks I'll try updating the drivers.

Make sure you follow all steps or it may not work correctly. Hopefully it works though, if not PM me and I can help you out further.
