DIY Lights For Desk. - Reece - 06-27-2010 Not sure if this really deserves this section, but I didn't want to put it in the "OSHIT" section. I pretty much just want to install a sound activated light under my glass desk. I want this to complete my "Setup". I currently have a Saitek Eclipse iii Illuminated Keyboard, Razer Deathadder, Cyber Snipa Tracer Mouse Pad, and Blue notifications on my Laptop. Notice the trend? To complete it I want a light under my desk that will *blink* when I turn on my music. Here is my desk: Here is a bar under my laptop that I was hoping I could mount the light to: Now, I was looking on Amazon and found this: http://www.amazon.com/Logisys-Activated-Cathode-Complete-Inverter/dp/B000JQ36Z6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277702097&sr=8-2 I don't really know much about Cathodes except that they are mainly used for Pc setups. I'm not sure how they work. Does it just plugin to the wall and have a "sound module" I place to pickup sound? Update.. I need a AC adapter. What if I got this: http://www.crazypc.com/products/PV1-8240B.html With the AC Adapter? That should work.. Does the "2 Molex" mean that I could use one adapter for both lights? Btw, this is the adapter: http://www.crazypc.com/products/7410.html RE: DIY Lights For Desk. - DancingCobraâ„¢ - 06-30-2010 Thats pretty cool. I like em! RE: DIY Lights For Desk. - Jack- - 07-04-2010 To be honest I have no idea if you could make it sound activated.. like so when you sit down it will automatically turn on? |
