I'd rather have a intel i7 8 processors than a whatever amd can = up to.

Intel is sturdey and lasts longer in gaming in my opinion.

Personally, I think AMD is better for gaming and overclocking.

I think Intel CPUs are good for home/office PCs that don't need to do much.

For my computer, I have an Intel Core 2 Quad, but next time I build a gaming PC, I'm going to get an AMD.

it really depends man, if you are going to OC you shud really get AMD also it's cheaper but i7 does outrun AMD in performance. I voted for AMD

Intel makes better products IMO, but they also tried buying out all the compition, and thrented Microsoft with suits.

I always used AMD. They are just cheaper and if you don't need anything better than why buy better.

I have experience with both - Intel and AMD - but mostly on laptops, so I can't tell which DESKTOP processor is better for me.
But when I was choosing a laptop, the #1 criteria was a Intel processor.
I had an older laptop with AMD processor (it was just 1.6GHz SemPR0N). It was a bit old so I understand that things may have changed, but my uncle has an AMD (Turion X2 @ 1.9GHz) laptop, which he bought two years ago and it also overheats easily.

I think Intel Mobile processors have better performance, less power-consumption then AMD ones and they always stay cool.

My laptop (I'm currently on it) has a Core2Duo processor (running at 2GHz) and it's always cool and quiet + my battery can last up to 3+ hours when idle.

I have AMD Athlon. But Intel is better then AMD. Core problem I faced with AMD processor is over heating.
