I love Ubuntu 10.10 but I do not like 11.04. They changed it to much and the dock is very annoying in my opinion.

I personally have never tried it, but i hear people love it. Once i get my own personal laptop, i will try it out. I use a family desktop right now.

I Like Ubuntu but its based on the Debian distro. Its command syntax can get a little complicated.

I Prefer Fedora because it runs yum and its command syntax is fairly easy to remember.

I would play around with it

Use vmware or if you have another computer lying around install it.

Its how i learned about Ubuntu, Fedora, and Debian.

Ubuntu was my first Linux distro, but the latest 11.04 pushed me off of it.
They want to do a future commercial distro (that is ok) but they wrote softwares that only works on their OS (like Software Center).
My main OS is now Fedora, with a new, less buggy desktop (Gnome 3).

I use Ubuntu or Linux Mint because it is so user friendly
