Anonymous Search Engines - Eve - 04-24-2010

Search engines of companies like Google and AOL utilise persistent cookies to track browsing habits of users.

Most users are either unaware or trusting of most cookies, although only session cookies are necessary for
accessing certain sites. The more privacy-conscious can use these two search engines, which camouflage
users' IP addresses by proxifying search results. These search providers also claim to not log IP addresses.

http://www.yauba.com was developed in London, Bangalore and Delhi through collaboration with universities.

http://ixquick.eu was first developed in New York and subsequently Netherlands after a corporate acquisition.

You can actually enable more private settings in Google. You can also just disable cookies on the Google site.
