SMF to MyBB - Sam - 01-30-2010

I am currently running SMF. Should I consider switching to MyBB?

RE: SMF to MyBB - Jordan L. - 01-30-2010

I seriously reccomend it, MyBB is possibly the greatest free forum software out there. They have great support and a great community. Smile

Definitely. I used to use SMF, and it was SLOW.
The MyBB ACP is much cleaner too. Easier to find things.

100%. It would make your life greater, so amazing. You wont regret it.

yes you should...
i prefer MyBB

You should definitely consider switching to MyBB. It's my favourite forum software out of all the others, including the ones that need paying for. From my experience it's user friendly, customizable and the interface isn't too bad either.

There's a lot of great communities around that are dedicated to MyBB, for example; http://www.mybbcentral.com - owned by Omniscient himself. For a lifetime subscription of $10, you have access to all Omniscient's themes and plugins, which in my eyes are awesome.

You have access to hundreds of free themes and plugins over at http://www.mybboard.net

There's a lot of choice and I'm sure you'd enjoy the switch. So switch now before you get too involved with SMF. Smile

I will begin the switch today. Thanks.

Good, if you have any questions about it, the MyBB Support forums are great.

RE: SMF to MyBB - Omniscient - 01-31-2010

MyBB has more features than SMF but there are a couple thing in SMF not yet available in base package of MyBB. I prefer MyBB of course as it runs all my forums. I find it to be more intuitive and easier to manage.

I've used both MyBB and SMF and must say, I prefer MyBB. Too many reasons to list though.
