Transfer Guardianship, Emancipation, etc. - datasync - 07-14-2011

Well I'm about to turn 17 and I am a senior in high school. My parents are low class failures at life and I can do better without them than with them. All they have are empty promises and never get anything done. I need to find a way that I don't have to spend my senior year with them. I spend more time with my bosses family and they are like my second family so is there a way to transfer guardianship or something so I can get away from my family. I am in the top 10 in my class, probably 3rd or so and I know that transferring schools will screw that up but I just won't put up with living with them anymore. I know that once your 17 you can leave and they can't do anything but will I be able to apply to a different school and set up bank accounts and stuff like that? Advise please...

I am not sure about the US, but here in Holland you can choose this stuff when you turn 16.
