.Org - davidmarker - 06-04-2011

what do you think of .org domains? I'm thinking of going with them for my main websites now instead of .com for a change.

RE: .Org - Sam - 06-04-2011

They're ok in my opinion. I'd rather .net or .com but .org would be my third choice.

.org typically is supposed to be used for organizations or something like that.

RE: .Org - Fragma - 06-04-2011

I think they're good for business websites. Wouldn't use them for anything other than that though.

RE: .Org - 0xE9 - 06-04-2011

According to a study, Google slightly favours .org domain when it comes to SEO.

They are really good depending on what you're using it for, most of the time I normally see them in gaming websites but they normally work good with anything else, go to http://cmcdomain.net for cheap .com's and that, I don't own it but it's a great site.

Good luck with you're choice! Smile

Eh, it looks weird if it's not an organization or business.

Looks like a company like fate said.
Its rather odd in my perspective

.org domains remind me of 4chan.org and sythe.org , websites associated with general negativity.

That's only two examples of the many many legitimate .org's out there.
