So, to my knowledge, MyBB is better. I can't wait to use it soon. Smile

My personal like is MyBB, simple and straight. But if you want professional forum, then vB rocks.
@BlackChaos mind taking a look of Digital Point forums and WarriorForum, they're far bigger than HF :-)

And also been around for years more than HF. WarriorForum back in 1997

Take a look at this as well lol: http://www.warriorforumsucks.com/

Ranked as the second search result RIGHT under WarriorForum on Google.

I think the discussion is not about the content of forums, but the Software they are using. You said vB is bad for big boards, I was replying to that,

Me? Huh

I don't recall mentioning anything about VBulletin being bad for big forum communities... I know a few big forums that run on VB and Xenforo. I only talked about the development between MyBB being open source, and free in comparison to others that aren't and do cost money.

I personally use MyBB and just made a forum with a private section for my school ^.^ Pretty legit in my opinion. Learning CSS and PHP to customize it more at the moment!

Mybb gets my vote but Vbulletin is not bad either..

RE: Favourite Forum Software? - .360 - 01-17-2012

Who said vB is BAD for big forum communities? The biggest forum on the net, bodybuilding.com uses vB, as do others. And w-bb uses phpbb2, for whatever silly reasons Tongue

No one said it was bad at all. PhpBB2? lol you've got to be kidding me? Admin must like living on the edge of exploitation. If you're absolutely sure it's PhpBB2.

Edit: I checked, no they don't. Nobody uses PhpBB2 anymore or I honestly would think that they haven't developed a brain yet. For a forum that big it would have been taken down by now too if they ran PhpBB2 most likely.

mybb, because it's extremely easy and takes no effort to edit.
I guess for huge boards I would use vBulleting or IPB if I would be a better coder.

I wanna try xenforo soon, heard huge praises about it.

RE: Favourite Forum Software? - Dube - 01-21-2012

my personal favorite is MyBB but i use to like IPB
