Best Free Antivirus? - Jet - 11-08-2010

Well my free subscription to McAfee just ended and I don't feel like paying.

So whats the best FREE anti-virus for windows? I'm running windows 7 home premium if it matters.

Ok. I'll have to try them. If you had to pick one which one would you choose?

I used to use AVG Free and it was good.

Go with Avira, it's known to have a better detection rate than AVG.

ClamWin is a alright Anti Virus. Its pretty light on resources also.

This May be of use to you. Ir's not an anti virus, but it's a really good cleaner in my opinion.

as someone said earlier there are many people who will supply keys

Thanks guys. I did some research and I'm going to use Avira mainly for its detection rate. I'll also use Malwarebytes for scanning. Should be a good combination.

AVG FTW! In my opinion always go with AVG, it can be completely configured to automatically update and scan every day, week, 3 days, whatever. Its simple yet effective.
