I will be re opening this new website anyway and the competition is crazy which means lots of attacks coming through. I am just trying to find the cheapest possible option lol.

I decided to install it for my small forum. Just to get a feel for it and see what it is like. http://rskingdom.com

I have been looking through settings and options and I must say I love it. I will actually be upgrading to pro!

Hi Pompano,

I got your PM but can't respond without ten posts. The issue you're having with IPs can be solved with mod_cloudflare (or equivalent).

You can try ddoshostingsolutions.com or blacklotus. Those are paid solutions, but are very effective. Don't belive that hosts have DDoS Protection, thats probably just a software firewall.

RE: DDOS Prevention - Mark Zuckerberg - 09-24-2011

As other people said get cloudflare.

It is the most effective way.

Digging up over one month old threads >.>. I assume after more than a month actually, I believe around 2 since the thread was created he probably solved his issue, or gave up.

RE: DDOS Prevention - BlackHops - 10-02-2011

You could get a cisco hardware firewall if you have a dedi.

Even if the thread is old you can still learn from others experiences.

RE: DDOS Prevention - BlackHops - 10-10-2011

Cloudflare isn't really that good, all it takes for a potential attacker to get the real ip of your website is a quick e-mail to cloudflare and they happily turnover the IP for any reason.
