Logic Studio is the only program that makes me want to buy a Mac. If you're into music production, check it out.

Use Darwine. It's a port of WINE (no pun intended) for OS X. I wouldn't recommend getting a mac though. Take a look at Some VAIO's and install Windows/Linux. You're choice though so not forcing you. If you are getting the Mac enable your firewall. It's not by default and it's easy as crap to get into one.

I have looked at the VAIO's and if I end up switching my mind in the end they do look very nice. The new Toshibas looks pretty nice as well.
