Last time a thread like this was started i stated my opinons then. And got almost flamed for it lol.
Even Omni had a go at me. Wish i could find the thread. Certainly would be linking this post to that thread.
SF will never get like HF. Just not gunna happen. Said it 2 years ago and will say it now.
The real problem if you ask me is HF promoted SF with awards and the like to post here.
This resulted in massive amounts of low quality bordering on spam posts.
The active contributing members started to leave.
Even now there is a skeleton crew of regulars.
I expect SF to be sold in the next 2 years to be honest.
Dunno if it started to kick on again i would be more active. But low quality posts do make me just log out.

In 10 years SF will not exist.
It will either be;
1. Sold and closed/domain changed to something else.
2. Omni closes it (doubtful).
3. Omni dies, site dies and goes offline.

Meh, eventually I think it will become a lot like HF with all the trolls and the assholes. But until then, live it up as it may not last as long as you think

Omni doesn't pay for this site, the server was donated to him so there is no reason I can think of why SF would close. - I expect it will jut be left to it's own devices.
As for how old the site is? It officially opened in October 2009 - Myself and a handful of users have these early registration dates and considering Damink above me is the 60th reg user I think Oct 2009 is correct.

I think this is a really great site, we just need more members. Not enough people are staying active and we have to many helpers, not enough questions.

Depends on how much people look though forums,
people like hacking they go to hf.
