for a while i was running jaunty and i tried installing vista to dual boot with ubuntu i lost my ubuntu partition, so i installed vista and now i tried installing karmic so burned the CD and tried booting off the disc and the loading indicator bounced across the bar and then cut to a shell called busy box where none of the built in commands they offer do anything because they say they cant find any file paths to work with. i did some Google searches and found on other forums that it is known as the busy box error and said to try some kernel command strings at the menu used to decide if i want to install or boot off the CD (both cause the same problem). all the strings people posted didn't work so i tried using the windows installer it worked in installing ubuntu but when i try and boot it after instillation i get the same issue. I'm running a Sony VAIO VGN-NW 150j (specs here http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vai...olBtm;rnav)
any help will be appreciated
