Anyone invest in .xxx domains?
Think there will be a high ROI?

Personally, I bought 4 .xxx domains. Even if I only make $100 profit I would be happy.

Although, I think it will be some time before I see any profit.
I think the only good thing about these domains is money making.
Obtaining a good domain like coke.xxx or pepsi.xxx and then adding porn to it.
Ultimately the coke and pepsi IT gits will want to buy the .xxx domain to prevent bad searches.
Will they ever be successful like .com or .net? I doubt it but who knows.
You can make large amounts of money from .xxx, if you use it right.
Most people won't type .xxx in there browsers because there are already known free porn websites.
But, if you can spread it to pedos etc, they will visit.
I find it completely useless as probably most big porn sites will remain using .com. I really don't see any good point in it.
I would agree with the porn comments though:

Google Search
Code:
inurl:.xxx

There's a few just on the first page, for the list of ALL indexed .xxx domains.

That's a great idea, i'm on a friends computer so I would rather not test the websites but ones like "Microsoft.xxx" and "ebay.xxx" would probably be some of the first ones that they would want to go.

EDIT: fudge it, if they're not taken i'm going to purchase them and possibly add things that the big companies would not like.
I wouldn't buy one. There's plenty of other options for what I'm interested in. Maybe if you were getting into an adult site, but even then, you would probably be better off with a top level domain.
I would agree, but having adult sites as .xxx for the majority in the future could be somewhat beneficial on the internet world for a number of reasons. I've freelanced for adult sites before, but to make one would be pretty tough to be honest. If you came out on top though in that kind of business, then you'd be doing pretty well I would say however, based on what i've done and learned about that aspect of the internet.

For example, if all adult sites were .xxx, then you would know what you're opening before it was opened. Also having the possibility from browsers on a first class level to add parental controls for access to those kinds of sites.
The main and only reason I bought my .xxx domains is to hopefully auction them off and make some profit.
I was going to buy .xxx domains that were big name companies or universities but they were reserved.
