Hello SupportForums!,

I am trying to convince my mom to let me get a hamster, which she is strongly against. She does not like any rodents or anything that resembles a rodent, which I can't blame her for. I have had my eyes set on having one as a pet ever since I was a young boy.

So my question is, does anyone have any thoughts on how I can convince her?

EDIT: I have 2 cats, one of which would not care, and one that would be curious of the hamster, and I can handle my little curious kitten.

Get really angry and start ignore her until she gives you permission

Simply show your mom how responsible you can be. If you're already responsible then make it more that she sees that you are willing to commit to such things as a couple of house chores (do alot of cleaning) to show her how neat you can be. The hamsters let out a foul scent so you need to show her you will be on top of things, cleanliness wise. Also, how about even asking her that is what you want christmas? it's affordable & basically a pretty easy pet to care for.

Just bring up some infallible logic that will FORCE her to get a hamster.

I wish you luck, it's hard to convince parents.
