does anyone know how to stop a car from streaking once its been cleaned?
am the owner of a citroen nemo picasso multispace, red metalic paint;photo of it straight after its last wash here:
-just about showing streaks/dirty stuff in that photo though its more gruesome really close up.
photo to prove am the owner of it and its not some random lift off google/wherever:

-am not the driver of it, its a motability car with open insurance, so am not car savvy when it comes to looking after them.

everytime have washed it with staff, its always turned out looking really grubby, often worse than before we started.
am using some sort of car shampoo that dad bought from wilkinsons or poundland-think it has the name tripple wax in it.
we wash the car down with that stuff, then we hose it off.

where are we going wrong?
are we leaving it on to long or not enough time? or shoud we be using better shampoo?
it is cheap crap granted, thats dads fault had told him to pick up some decent car shampoo and the cheapskate in him comes back with that.

thanks in advance for any tips/advice.Victoire
But it is not as bad in photos as you described!
It's hard to tell from the photos you provided, but I'm gonna guess it's a result of the wax not being washed off completely. Invest into a car detailing cloth/sponge and use it to wipe the car down.

When you're washing it, you should first rinse it really good with just water to get as much dirt off as you can (it will scratch it if you leave the dirt on). Then you should use a sponge with some of the cleaning stuff you have to wipe down the whole car. Then rinse it off good again. And finally use another sponge or a cloth (make sure it is made for cleaning cars, so it doesn't scratch anything), along with more water to wipe the car down.
If it puts a lot of wax on, it'll make your car look really dull, so you'll probably need to take a cloth and "wax off" the whole thing, if there is too much on there.

But really most of this could be avoided by not using a cleaning solution with wax in it.
What I usually do is just use water and a sponge to clean my car off, and then buy some car wax (just wax, not mixed with anything) and wax on/wax off the whole thing.
Go here, after it will be clean
What he said^^^
Doesn't look too bad in photo
Get some good soap, and wash it down with cold water so it doesn't oxidize as much. What kind of soap are you using?
