I used to word theory as a figure of speech.
And you say I am simple minded lol, hypocritical much?

Kudos.

Also, planes flying isn't a theory. That actually happens.

We have these things called "Airports", and I'm pretty sure if you
told a pilot his job was just a theory, he'd get kinda confused and/or mad.

Yet what makes flight more than just a theory? The fact you can see it with your own 2 eyes and most likely have.

This is why religion shall never be more than that, a theory.

Meanwhile science betters our lives in countless ways every day, then there's religions of all shapes and sizes, causing nothing but trouble.

That's enough for me to choose a side.

Haha the last part was so true. Religion causes bombings murders, hijackings, you name it someone has done it in the name of religion. Science is not killing anyone. Or smashing airplanes into towers. Science is bettering our lives. Tell the scientist that created the internet that the internet is just a theory. lol

Religion is basically a choice, on the other hand, this is true about the science. Science is bettering our lives everyday, but religion also helps many people in their own personal way. I'm not disagreeing on how it's cause much deaths & violence, this is also true.

Not even gonna talk to you any more xD
You keep saying "YA MAN. SCIENCE IS PROOF GOD DOESN'T EXIST."
All in all, science is based on theories, at some point, so your point is moot.
Also, the only thing that causes trouble is people's intolerance OF religion.
Someone praying/chanting/meditating/talking to giant man in the sky
aren't hurting anything. People that take "God's will" into their hands - are.

Tell you what, I'll agree that science is the equivalent/greater than "God"/Religion
When science can explain where we came from with 100% accuracy, and can calculate
infinity in terms humans can understand.

Science created nukes/explosives/weapons and basically every form of artillery EVER.
You don't even know what you're talking about half the time you speak.

I never said science disproves God, you're trying to put words in my mouth, I'm simply saying I put more trust in something that has visible results and helps us, versus a theory that has been nothing but a detriment to our world.

>This is why religion shall never be more than that, a theory.
>Implying science isn't made up of theories
>Implying that by saying science IS more than just complicated theories
this makes religion obsolete/incorrect.

You're still trying to prove something that can't be proven,
Or are saying because you can't prove FAITH, faith is wrong.

Here's the problem with your logic:
You act upon proof and say that such a thing is required for you to BELIEVE.
That goes against the purposes of religion/spiritualism, because they all require a BELIEF
in a system you don't/can't fully understand, which inevitably requires faith
in the unseen.

That doesn't (by any means) equate to being an atheist is the more logical decision,
that just means you don't have faith in anything that you can't see.

Let's take "reality" for example. You may not UNDERSTAND how gravitons work, because
we're still trying to grasp that concept, and work with them on a subatomic level.

But you have FAITH that they exist, and they'll explain a lot of things that you can't understand.
Same thing with religion, and "God". People wonder why things they don't understand/can't logically figure out
(Because of a logical impossibility or otherwise) are the way they are, so they assume there must be someone
with a higher understanding.

Some people even deduce that that person is Omnipotent/Omnipresent, which would explain the idea behind creationism.

Religions are obsolete by any meaning of the term, the theory behind any of them hasn't had an update in 4000 years at least.

I have faith, faith that I will survive to see another day, faith that me and only me can and will make me succeed, there is no more need for faith in my life than that.

Atheism or perhaps Agnosticism is the most logical choice, there is no logic in religion, no credible logic anyways.

If that were the case do you honestly believe that religion would be the mainstay for every single country in existence?

Name a place that is dominated entirely by Atheism/agnosticism.

So because a large portion of the world is composed of gullible people they must all be right? Now THAT'S illogical.
