........

No, this is not a joke. please read this:
two different kinds of coffee beans were blended. individually, they cost $2.30/kg and $3.20/kg. how much of each kind was used if 200kg of the resulting mixture cost $3/kg?
i cannot figure it out. can anyone tell me how to do it?
i am going insane, i have shed tears over this problem.... i might hurt someone if i do not find the answer.... this is not a troll, i really need help here...
This could be posted in the Math help section, but I guess this could be considered an Emotional problem as well if it is pissing you off.

For simplicity, im calling the 2.3 mixture - A and the 3.2 mixture - B.

You would need 7 parts B and 2 Parts A. Meaning 9 parts total divided into 200kg.

A - 200 x (2/9) = 44.44kg repeating
B - 200 x (7/9) = 155.55kg repeating
-------
199.99kg repeating. (is actually 200kg if you round the decimal.)

as fractions

A - 200 x (2/9) = 400/9
B - 200 x (7/9) = 1400/9
--------
1800/9 = 200kg.

Check your answer.

3.2 x 7 = 22.4
2.3 x 2 = 4.6
-------------
27

27 divided by 9 = 3.. that's your average.

Hope this makes sense.
lol.
