I think it because when you made the post you didn't have a signature so the post was set to not have a signature shown. Now that you have a signature your new posts will have it but your old posts will not. Either that or it's bug.

Yeah, but I think it's supposed to go to all posts you made.

That is correct, or at least is with all the other myBB forums I have used.

Go to http://www.supportforums.net/usercp.php?action=editsig
Select the radio button for Enable my signature in all of my existing posts.
The default setting is No Action which is why existing posts were not updated.
Click Update Signature and view your previous posts again.
