What is it for, if I add someone to my buddies, what happened?
I think. You can see when they are online & maybe what they're doing. I've never added anyone.

There's ignore list too, which blocks people from sending you PMs etc.
You can see when the person is online, etc. It's not like a chat or anything. It would be cool if there was a chat implented to that though.
Exactly that, I use it mainly for easily sending PM's and not having to search through the online list to click their profile to then send a PM. I was in the process of writing this quicker however my computer crashed 6 times in a row.
Yeah, that's what it can be used for as well. Nothing too awesome, but it's decent.

MyBB 1.6 has better buddy control and options I believe.

I think Omni knows pretty much everything to do with MyBB and it's free. Why waste money on vB when MyBB is just as good.
