Parent's should get counseling and the kid should be, well I don't know what should happen to the kid. :S

Sorry to hear that, it was very irresponsible for leaving the gun but you can't blame anyone for this. It's not the kids fault, how did he know that a gun could hurt someone.

That reminds me of when this kid, probably 11-12 years old slit the throats of his two younger sisters and his own mother then burned the house down. How can an a child, not even a teenager, be capable of murder? It's...It's...horrible.
